About Us
We are a small group of men and women who share our experience, strength and hope with others through financial webinars and workshops designed to promote financial freedom. There are no dues or fees for Make Your Money Count workshops; each group is responsible for their own expenses including facility cost, refreshments (optional), and training material. MYMC.org is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to provide financial webinars and workshops packed with practical principles, powerful dialogue, and biblical wisdom. Our passion is to empower people to break free from the stress, worry, and hopelessness that come from consumerism.
About Our Material
Make Your Money Count was designed and published for use in financial webinars and workshops. It is written from a Christian perspective for the purpose of helping people improve their life through responsible money management. Make Your Money Count was written by a CFP® professional in Houston, Texas.
About Our Method
The financial life planning process has been developed over the past few decades primarily by Certified Financial Planner™ practitioners. Make Your Money Count outlines the process used by credentialed financial professionals. The main distinction in our method is the absence of any sales agenda. Because there is no selling of financial services or products in Make Your Money Count webinars and workshops, we have no fiduciary duty. The discovery process we use mirrors that of many CFP® professionals and we acknowledge (as all CFP® professionals would) that our role in helping people manage money is a sacred trust. As people accumulate assets, they are encouraged to seek the professional services of a qualified financial advisor. Click here to learn more: (http://www.cfp.net/)
About Make Your Money Count Author, Jim Munchbach
In nearly twenty years of serving clients, Jim has seen the power of purpose in shaping people’s vision for the future, motivating them to reach their goals, and giving them a thrill when they connect their money to what matters most. In addition to Make Your Money Count, Jim is the author of two books written to financial advisers who want to serve clients by first clarifying their core values, purpose, and life goals.
Jim is a State Farm agent in Clear Lake, Texas, where he and his team specialize in insurance planning. His extensive experience with clients following disasters like the Northridge Earthquake, Hurricanes Andrew, Katrina, Ike and dozens of other catastrophes has taught Jim the tremendous value of planning—before the unexpected happens. Jim wrote Make Your Money Count because he believes good money management is a discipline that builds financial, emotional, as well as spiritual muscle.
With gripping and heart-warming stories, Jim highlights powerful principles that provide clarity and a strong sense of direction in the journey to success, significance, and satisfaction.
